Suspect wanted for murder at Phenix City hotel

One suspect is still wanted for murder at a Phenix City hotel. Tisha Gibson has an outstanding warrant for Capital Murder in connection to the case.

On May 11, 2026 the Phenix City Police Department responded to the Colonial Inn
located at 905 Hwy 280 Bypass in reference to a shooting that occurred in one of the hotel rooms. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that Harvey Lee Walker was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

After a thorough investigation, the homicide suspects were identified as Tionne Carreker and Tisha Gibson. Tionne Carreker was taken into custody for Capital Murder by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office in Junction City, GA without incident, and will be extradited back to Phenix City, AL at a later time. A third subject, LaVincent Harris, was also arrested, and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree during the investigation.

Tisha Gibson currently has an outstanding warrant for Capital Murder, and law enforcement officials are still trying to locate her.
