CLASS 5A

#1 Woodward Academy 11, 4, #2 Habersham Central 1,3

Woodward Academy advanced to the Elite 8 on Friday, defeating Habersham Central in the GHSA Class 5A baseball second-round doubleheader. The War Eagles won 11-1 and 4-3, eliminating the Raiders from the playoffs.

CLASS 3A

#5 Jefferson 2, #12 Harlem 0

The Dragons beat Harlem two games to none with a 3-1 opening win and 5-2 finale.

#10 Oconee County 2, #26 Dawson County 0

The Tigers were swept by Oconee County with losses of 2-1 and 8-0, ending Dawson’s season.

CLASS 2A

#19 Franklin County 2, #3 Thomson 0

It wasn’t even close! Franklin swept past Thomson with finals of 14-0 and 15-0 in mercy-rule games.

#15 Stephens County 1, #2 Morgan County 1

The Indians took game one, 3-1 over Morgan County. It was the exact opposite in the second, forcing a decisive game three on Friday.

CLASS 1A DI

#4 Worth County 2, #13 Banks County 0

The Leopards saw their season end with a 2-game sweep at the hands of Worth County. Banks lost 3-1 in the first game and 10-3 in the finale.

CLASS 1A DII

#1 Wilcox County 2, #2 Towns County 0

The Indians dropped both ends of the second round series, losing 10-5 and 15-4 to end their season against Wilcox County.
