On April 14, 2026, Officers with the LaGrange Police Department received information of a threat to Clearview Elementary School. This information was turned over to the Lagrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
During the investigation, it was determined that a juvenile made threats to the school through a social media account. The juvenile was identified and arrested on the charge of terroristic threats. The juvenile was not found to be in possession of any weapons, and the investigation does not indicate that there are any active threat to any Troup County Schools.
