Habersham students participate in UNG production of ‘Into the Woods’

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Three Habersham County students were among 27 University of North Georgia students who participated in the Gainesville Theatre Alliance spring 2026 production of “Into the Woods.”

The production ran April 11-18 in the Ed Cabell Theatre on UNG’s Gainesville campus.

Roy Abrams of Alto served as spotlight operator for the production.

Nolan Penick of Cornelia played the role of Steward.

Abigail Taylor of Clarkesville portrayed Granny and served as understudy for the Witch and Baker’s Wife.

Gainesville Theatre Alliance is a collaboration between the University of North Georgia and Brenau University.

The University of North Georgia, a University System of Georgia leadership institution and The Military College of Georgia, serves more than 20,000 students across five campuses and offers more than 100 programs of study.
