Community invited to final night of Nacoochee Presbyterian Church’s VBS series July 31

SAUTEE NACOOCHEE, Ga. — Nacoochee Presbyterian Church is inviting the community to attend the final evening of its intergenerational Vacation Bible School series, “Loving My Neighbor Shouldn’t Be This Hard!”, taking place tonight, Friday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Designed for children, youth and adults, the free event explores what it means to love one’s neighbor through faith, community and peacemaking. The evening begins with a shared dinner, followed by inspiring speakers, interactive workshops and age-appropriate activities centered on Jesus’ teaching to “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39).

Adult participants will hear from community leaders involved in justice, reconciliation and community building while taking part in hands-on experiences that encourage compassion, understanding and stronger relationships across differences.

Youth activities include baking communion bread, creative writing, preparing food together and learning practical ways to become peacemakers in their own communities.

The program concludes Saturday, Aug. 1, with an optional group trip to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. A fee applies for the Saturday excursion.

The Vacation Bible School is free and open to all ages, and advance registration is not required.
